The most Dangerous Airport in the World The World’s Most Dangerous I have just returned from a three-week trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, which must rate as one of life’s most epic adventures if you have the time & stamina.  With all of the preparations for the trip, the one thing I was not briefed on properly was the experience of landing in the eastern Himalayan region of Solukhumbu at a small village called Lukla, at an elevation of 2840m ASL located  27°41′16″N 86°43′53″E
