The 21st Monaco Yacht Show welcomes DAHER-SOCATA
- DAHER-SOCATA was once again a participant in the annual Monaco Yacht Show to underscore the speed, range and
operating efficiency of its TBM 850 very fast turboprop aircraft.
The Monaco Yacht Show is a well-known international event on the French Riviera. This year, more than 100 SuperYachts lined the docks of Monte Carlo – with over 40 making their worldwide debut.
“Our presence at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show was motivated by the fact that private aircraft offer complimentary transportation to the yachting world,” said Nicolas Chabbert, DAHER-SOCATA’s Senior Vice President – Airplane Division. “The TBM 850 very fast turboprop perfectly fulfils this mission with its performance and flexibility, allowing the rapid transportation of yacht owners and guest passengers to their port of registry or to their business destination.”
The TBM 850 is world’s fastest single turboprop aircraft, with a maximum cruising speed of 320 KTAS at Flight Level 260 (in ISA conditions). It combines the cruising speed and trip times of a light jet with the economic direct operating costs, range and eco-friendly environmental signature of a turboprop engine. The TBM 850’s maximum range and useful load – which are enhanced on the current 2011 model-year aircraft – and the ability to land at small airports are some of its customers’ favorite features.
For its 100-year celebrations, DAHER-SOCATA is providing the TBM 850 with an Exclusive Maintenance Program for five years – or 1,000 flight hours – which includes scheduled maintenance costs and annual inspections. In addition, warranties are extended to five years for avionics, five years for systems and seven years for the airframe.
