South African Airways can proceed, following Monday's
decision by the Competition Appeal Court. The Court had
issued an order for costs against SAA when it appealed the
Competition Tribunal's decision in 2007. The UK base of the
world's largest aircraft broker, Chapman-Freeborn, has seen
the busiest few months than the $3bn aircraft-charter
brokerage has ever experienced, following the trembler in
New Zealand and outbreaks of unrest in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya
and Ivory Coast, not to mention sending rescuers to Japan.
Global aviation authorities have rated Durban's King Shaka
International Airport among Africa's best. The airport
